Sfere Vocali is a recently created vocal ensemble that was born from the need to form a group in which the five members can contribute the individual experiences they have acquired over the years. It not only seeks to create a unique sound, but also aims to explore and interpret vocal music in a small format with a new perspective that is the result of the experiences of its members.
The show Sospirs invites us to explore the deepest human feelings through music and poetry. It presents a series of madrigals for five voices by Italian composers of the early Baroque, with Monteverdi’s Lamento della Ninfa as the main pillar, which represents the culmination of the madrigal and opera genres. This strong relationship between the text and emotions with the music is the most characteristic feature of madrigals, which generate moments of silent reflection and introspection in which words are not enough to express what we feel. In most of the pieces that will be performed we will be able to find different types of sighs, whether of sorrow, suffering, despair, love, faith or hope, which become a universal language, capable of communicating what remains hidden in the depths of the heart.
Sospirs refers to one of the so-called madrigalisms that the last composers of the madrigal genre created: a device with which a note falls to the next lower note, so that the idea of the sigh is emphasized through the music.
